Undertone at Figureworks Saugerties
After a lengthy and very pleasant exploration over the river and through the woods, Figureworks is very pleased to be re-opening in Saugerties, NY.
We will be located on the second floor showroom at
Green (Saugerties leading mid-century modern furniture store).

Raised in Chicago, educated at the Art Institute in California and currently living over 20 years in NYC, painter Michael Sorgatz has continually focused on the evolution of figures in urban landscapes. This current series are paintings he was working on when the oppressive smoke from the Canadian fires blanketed NYC. Directly affected, Michael altered over his typically vibrant palette with a heavy white overpaint creating a beautiful light composition that masks the reality of figures in toxic environments.
